Spain is preparing for a weekend of meteorological contrasts. The Spanish State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has warned that, although the heat will not fully relent, a small thermal respite is expected between Friday and Saturday. However, this relief will be short-lived: temperatures will rise sharply again starting on Sunday.
Over the next few days, warm air will dominate almost the entire country. According to Aemet (Mexico's Meteorological Agency) on its official channels, the air masses over the Peninsula will be exceptionally warm for the season. This, combined with atmospheric stability, will keep temperatures high, especially in the central and southern areas.

A slight drop in temperature will be noticeable on Friday, more evident in inland areas. In places like Castile and León , Madrid, and the Ebro Valley, the mercury will drop a few degrees compared to the extreme values recorded midweek. Even so, a feeling of general coolness is not expected, as minimum temperatures will remain high.
The weather will remain stifling in the Mediterranean region, where the thermal respite will barely be noticeable. Regions such as Valencia, Murcia, the Balearic Islands, and the Andalusian coast will maintain very warm temperatures , with lows above 22°C and highs close to 35°C.
The rebound will arrive on Sunday. Starting that day, models point to a new influx of very warm air from North Africa. This event will again raise temperatures across much of Spain and could last for several more days, maintaining tropical nights and days with extreme heat alerts.

Aemet urges caution in the heat , especially among the most vulnerable groups.
